SPbPU NTI Competence Center – a leading Russian competence center with the largest project consortium in the field of "New Manufacturing Technologies" (digital design and modeling, digital twins, new materials, additive technologies), established on the basis of the innovation ecosystem of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.
Basis for establishment – agreement with the Support Fund for Projects of the National Technology Initiative No. 4/1251/2018, signed on 24.10.2018.
The Center serves as the infrastructural basis for cooperation between scientific, educational, and industrial organizations to ensure the global competitiveness of leading domestic companies in NTI markets and in high-tech industries.
Key activities – development of solutions for creating world-class high-tech products using new manufacturing technologies and cross-industry and multidisciplinary competencies of SPbPU engineers and scientists, as well as members of the consortium of the Center, which as of February 2022 includes 84 participants and more than 25 partner companies.
The SPbPU NTI Center also develops the competencies of enterprises in the field of advanced manufacturing technologies (AMT): it trains specialists and organizes the implementation of AMT at enterprises, and carries out the transfer of new manufacturing technologies to high-tech industries.

- New materials (composite materials, nanomaterials, metamaterials, metal powders for additive manufacturing);
- Additive technologies and additive manufacturing, including 3D printers, technologies, approaches and methods of working with raw materials, development and production of metal powders and a range of 3D printing services;
- Smart-Manufacturing technologies and hybrid production technologies.
