Institute carries out the development, production, maintenance, and repair of unique military and civilian equipment designed for measuring electrical and magnetic quantities, as well as special-purpose measuring, computing, control, and training complexes.

- management of the technical committee of the Gosstandart of the Russian Federation TC 232 "Equipment and apparatus for measuring electricity, electrical and electromagnetic quantities";
- creation of information protection systems and software for scientific and technical developments for military and civil purposes.
