Rakurs-Engineering, a backbone enterprise of Saint Petersburg and a resident of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Saint Petersburg, part of the Rakurs Group of Companies, specializes in the development and implementation of integrated automated process control systems (APCS) for power industry facilities in Russia and abroad.

The Rakurs-Engineering Service Center performs the full range of support for automated control systems throughout their lifecycle, working to improve and add new functionalities to existing APCS:
- diagnostics and repair;
- maintenance;
- 24/7 remote customer support;
- spare parts management;
- technical inspection;
- modernization.
The Rakurs-Engineering Training and Consulting Center provides training for technical personnel of industrial enterprises on the operation and maintenance of APCS equipment supplied by the company, as well as the operation and maintenance of frequency converters and servo systems for various enterprises.
Since 1994, the company's training center, in cooperation with the Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University (LETI), has been conducting training on Omron automation systems.
As part of the import substitution policy, Rakurs-Engineering develops its own products and software. During its operation in the SEZ, the following have been developed:
- the first Russian stationary vibration monitoring and diagnostic system for hydraulic units (jointly with the Polzunov Central Boiler and Turbine Institute);
- primary and secondary frequency and power control systems for power plant equipment;
- rational unit commitment management systems (RUSA);
- two-parameter combinatorial mechanism for Kaplan turbines;
- software and hardware digital models;
- a unique technological monitoring system for standard equipment of turbogenerators, including those with a capacity of 1000 MW (produced by the Elektrosila plant);
- Rascada software package — a SCADA system designed for developing upper-level APCS software and managing industrial automation;
- Apogee software and hardware complex — designed for measuring parameters, monitoring, and controlling complex technological equipment (boilers, turbines, compressor units) as part of APCS for power plants and industrial facilities. It is included in the Ministry of Digital Development register as a trusted hardware-software complex and holds a certificate under Government Decree No. 719.
Innovative products meeting international and Russian standards have been developed by the Rakurs Group and installed at major energy facilities in Russia and worldwide.
Between 2017 and 2025, innovative products from the Rakurs Group were installed at more than 80 facilities, including the Krasnoyarsk HPP, Novosibirsk HPP, Nizhne-Bureyskaya HPP, Boguchany HPP, Rogun HPP (Tajikistan), Novovoronezh NPP-2, Kozloduy NPP (Bulgaria), Kudankulam NPP (India), and Yakutskaya GRES-2.
