A meeting between Alexander Sitov, Acting Chairman of the Committee for Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of Saint Petersburg, and the Director General of the Saint Petersburg Technopark took place at Nevskaya Ratusha

Oleg Yakimov, Director General of the Technopark, spoke to representatives of the city's leading media outlets about the main tasks facing Saint Petersburg in the development of the unmanned aerial systems industry and the role of the UAS Research and Production Center of the Saint Petersburg Technopark. Alexander Sitov, Acting Chairman of the Committee for Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of Saint Petersburg, also took part in the meeting with journalists.
To achieve global technological leadership in the field of unmanned aerial systems by 2030, Russia needs to ensure the sovereignty of this industry. According to Oleg Yakimov, at least 90% of the development and production of UAS and their components must be domestic. The UAS Research and Production Center, established at the Saint Petersburg Technopark, is one of the key participants in the regional program for the development of unmanned technologies until 2030. To date, the UAS Research and Production Center of the Saint Petersburg Technopark has 54 residents from 7 regions of Russia. These are developers and manufacturers of components, electronics for unmanned systems, and structural elements of unmanned aerial vehicles. One of the tasks of the UAS Research and Production Center is to assist residents in obtaining state financial support.

Oleg Yakimov shared the news: a resident of the UAS Research and Production Center of the Saint Petersburg Technopark, the Moscow company Dronko LLC, received a grant from the National Technology Initiative Fund in the amount of 300 million rubles for the mass production of aircraft engines for UAVs. Production will be organized in Saint Petersburg.

Testing is an important stage in the creation of UAS. To create a full-fledged infrastructure for the development and mass production of drones, a flight test site is required. Currently, an active search for locations is underway. Journalists were informed about the start of negotiations with the Levashovo airfield.
