The Regional Fund for Scientific and Technical Development of Saint Petersburg was established on July 7, 1992, by the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Technical Policy of the Russian Federation, the Saint Petersburg Regional Development Fund Association, and Rossiya Bank (Saint Petersburg) as a non-profit association.
Our goal is to provide comprehensive support for technological innovation activities to organizations of any form of ownership.
To this end, the Fund provides the following types of services:
Over the years, the Fund has become an active participant and driver of state innovation policy not only in its region but in Russia as a whole.
The Fund's clients, whom we assist in implementing scientific and technical projects, include research, design, and manufacturing organizations of any ownership form — from state scientific centers and academic institutes to higher education institutions and small scientific and technical enterprises.
In this work, we collaborate with our numerous partners, without whom our activities would not be as effective.
With the assistance of the Fund:

- consulting for performers and monitoring the implementation of scientific and technical projects;
- organizing and conducting networking events for the personnel of innovative enterprises;
- production and technological support for small innovative enterprises at the Innovation Technology Center;
- educational activities have been conducted for the benefit of personnel at innovative enterprises.

With the assistance of the Fund:
- over 300 innovation projects have been provided with funding;
- approximately 25 billion rubles of budget funds were invested in projects monitored by the Fund, with product sales exceeding 250 billion rubles;
- more than 2,500 jobs have been created in the scientific and technical sector of Saint Petersburg;
- 40 joint projects by scientific organizations of Northwest Russia and European countries, prepared with the Fund's assistance, were accepted by the EC Commission for funding under the EU Research and Technological Development Programs;
- more than 40 Russian Venture Fairs have been held in Vladivostok, Irkutsk, Kazan, Moscow, Perm, Rostov-on-Don, Saint Petersburg, and Novosibirsk;
- over 1,500 innovative companies participated as exhibitors in Russian Venture Fairs, including over 120 from Saint Petersburg. Early-stage technology companies participating in the Fairs attracted investments exceeding 150 million dollars.
