The Chemical Laboratory of the Saint Petersburg Technopark provides polarimetry services — an analytical method for determining the optical activity of substances. The method is based on measuring the angle of rotation of the plane of polarized light as it passes through a solution of a chiral compound.

Polarimetry is used in pharmaceuticals, organic synthesis, the food industry, and biochemistry for purity assessment, substance identification, method validation, and quantitative analysis of optically active mixtures.

Analysis is conducted in a temperature-controlled cell with automatic calibration, ensuring high precision and reproducibility of results. Upon completion of the study, the client is provided with a protocol containing measurements, specific rotation calculation, and interpretation based on regulatory data (SP, USP, GOST, etc.).
